Mr. Ken Rankin is our School Principal.

His extensive experience in both elementary and High School will provide us with the leadership we need in the continued development of our school.

Mr. Rankin surrendered his life to serve in Christian education as a junior in college.  He graduated with a B.A. from Mid-America Nazarene University in 1976. He did his graduate work at the University of Missouri in Kansas and St. Louis and holds a Principal and Superintendent certification from ACSI.

Ken and Jo Ann Rankin have been married for 33 years and have 3 daughters. They have lived and served in the St. Louis area for most of their married life. Mr. Rankin has served 19 of his 29 years in Christian education at the North County Christian Academy. The last 10 years of his service at NCC he has served as the Principal/Administrator. He led the NCC through a move to a new facility and recently took them through a successful accreditation process with ACSI.

Mrs. Star Seeger is our Early Childhood Principal and teaches a 4 year old preschool class

I am the Principal of the Early Childhood Department at WRCA. I have been part of the school for 9 years. I began as a 3’s teacher, then moved to Pre-Kindergarten and now I am Principal and teach 4’s morning classes. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Organizational Behavior from UMSL (with over ¾ of my hours from Northeast Missouri State University) and a Master’s degree in Marketing from Lindenwood University.

My husbands name is Travis and we have been married since August of 1992. We have 3 beautiful children all of which attend WRCA. T.J. was born in 1995, Mason was born in 1997, and Camille was born in 1998. I am blessed to not only have my children attending this wonderful, Christ-centered academy, but to also be on staff here.

I enjoy football, music, movies, and chocolate! In addition, as most mothers, I love a relaxing weekend at home with my family.I attend Sunday school and church at Willott Road Community Church where I have been a member since 1987. I am the Director of Children’s Ministries there. I am also a group leader at BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) which is an all ladies in-depth Bible Study.

Mrs. Kris Mosher teaches our 3 year old preschool

I have been teaching preschool at WRCA for going on my third year.  My husband and I have been married for fourteen years and our three children all attend WRCA. I have been involved at this school in some way for seven years now.  As well as teaching, I chair the school’s Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) and am so excited to see all of our school families getting involved!

Mrs. Eryn McAlister teaches 3 year old preschool

My name is Eryn McAlister. I have been with Willott Road Christian Academy for 2 years. My first year I worked as the director of our Aftercare program. During that time I also substitute taught in the Early Childhood Department. Every time I substitute taught, my desire to become a teacher would grow. I started praying about what this desire meant and asked God to lead me an d open doors to the opportunity to teach. At the end of the 2008/2009 school year, I was given a contract to teach Pre-Kindergarten for the 2009/2010 school year. I know this was God telling me this is what He wanted me to do.

The Bible tells us in Psalm 37:4 “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.” I am so thankful to God for all He is and for all He does.

Not only did God give me an amazing job, but He also gave me an amazing family. My husband Josh and I were married in may of 2002. Our son Noah was born in April of 2004 and our daughter Ana was born in March of 2006 and our other daughter Brooklyn was born in February of 2008.

Mrs. Sherry Jones teaches Pre-Kindergarten

Hello, my name is Sherry Jones. I am a married mother of two grown children and a Nana of two wonderful grandchildren. I also have a Cock-a-Poo name Gracie.

My teaching career started upon graduating from William-Jewell College with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education. I was first employed by the Granite City Schools to pilot a music program for the Special Education Department. Several years later I left teaching to be a homemaker.

When my youngest child was in Fourth grade, I felt God was calling me back into teaching. God opened the opportunity to teach and direct an academic preschool, Friends Forever. When the church that housed the preschool dissolved in 1995, God provided Friends Forever a new location that had a vision for a Christian school. Form that point on Friends Forever preschool became a part of the Early Childhood program Department at Willott Road Christian Academy.

I have had the privilege to teach Preschool Three and Four year old children, as well as Secondary grade levels Kindergarten thru Second grade. Currently I am enjoying teaching Pre-Kindergarten.

“As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” I Peters 4: 10

Mrs. Marian Sextro teaches Pre-Kindergarten

I was born and raised in St. Charles, where I also attended Lindenwood University. My professional background is mostly in sales and recruiting, however I have been teaching religious education classes to middle school aged children for several years. I am married to the love of my life Andy and I have an amazing little girl Breckyn, who loves attending WRCA.

The positive experience that we have had at Willott is actually what led me to pursue a teaching opportunity here at the school. Our family spends most of our free time running to Breckyn's sports games, enjoying time with family, and at various church activities. I feel truly blessed to be able to help lead the children in my class on their journey and to be a part of such a wonderful school. I am looking forward to a great school year!

Mrs. Liz Mooney teaches Kindergarten

I have been in Christian Education for several years now.  I graduated from Hannibal-LaGrange College with my bachelors in Elementary Education.

Ms. Katie Rathmell teaches First Grade

I received my degree in Early Childhood Education from Central Methodist University in Fayette, Missouri in 2006.  I began teaching at Willott Road Christian Academy in 2007 as a Pre-Kindergarten teacher.  I have taught in Kindergarten and will move to teaching first grade for 2010 school year.  I have made great relationships with the faculty and staff here at WRCA.  Since I first began at WRCA I have grown spiritually and in my knowledge of children.

I received Christ as my Savior in my teens and have been a member of WRCC since 2006.  I teach Kingdom Seekers for WRCC and I belong to the Made with Love Ministry. I believe God has been with me all the way.  I love serving God in the ministry of Education and cannot wait to see what will soon unfold.

Mrs. Sarah Rogers teaches First Grade

I attended College in Greenville, Illinois and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in the field of Elementary Education.  I am fortunate to have had experience working in lower and upper elementary grades in a public school district and two other private Christian school sin Illinois.

My husband and I were married in May of 2008 and that brought me over the Mississippi.  I have counted it a privilege to teach first grade at WRCA for two years now.  It is amazing to see how God has directed my path all along. Since I was a child playing “school” with my own small chalkboard, I had a desire to teach. During my school years, I had a number of inspiring and encouraging teachers that spurred me on to study elementary education in college.  I want to continually grow and teach with excellence.  In the future, I plan to pursue a masters degree in the education field.

Mrs. Cheyenne Best teaches Second Grade

I received my Bachelors Degree from Lindenwood University in 2008.  I was lucky enough to complete my student teaching in second grade right here at WRCA and I have never left.  I have been teaching for two years and plan to get my Master’s Degree in the near future.

Although I had no plans on teaching in a Christian School, it is oblivious God had a plan for me.  He called me to work His will in this wonderful school!

Ms. Lauren Simms teaches Second Grade

I received a degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO in May of 2009.  I have always felt lead to pursue a teaching degree. I am thankful I have been led here and look forward to seeing what God has in store for me!

Mrs. Jamie Ham teaches Fifth Grade

I would like to take a moment to share a little about myself. I was blessed by being raised in a Christian home. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior when I was eight years old, and my desire ever since has been to please Him. I have been married to my wonderful husband, Joe, for nine years. I have an adorable baby boy named Caleb that my husband and I adopted in December 2009.

I graduated from Missouri Baptist University with a bachelors of science in elementary education. I am currently pursuing a master’s degree from Missouri Baptist as well. The Lord brought me to Willott Road Christian Academy in 2006. I have participated in teacher training at a conference held at Pensacola Christian academy (a wonderful school that has incredible insight regarding the presentation of ABeka Curriculum)  during two different summers during my time here at WRCA. I am confident and excited about teaching your child on an academic and spiritual level this year.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share in the lives of your children.

Ms. Amy Hess teaches Sixth Grade

I have a Master’s Degree in School Administration from Missouri Baptist University, which I received in 2009.  In 2007 I received my Bachelors in Science in Mathematics and Middle School Education from Missouri Baptist University with certification for grades 5 – 12.

My past experience includes student teaching in the Rockwood and Troy school districts.  I wanted to experience a high technology environment where I learned to use a Smart Board and a low technology environment where creativity was the name of the game.  Also, I have experience with private tutoring for high school and college students.

I am a native of Missouri.  I have a heart for children who have come from difficult backgrounds and I have a passion for teaching math to students in tailored ways in order for them to grasp the concepts.  My ultimate goal will always be to inspire students to reach their full potential.

Mrs. Jackie Joyce is our School Counselor and teaches Middle/High school Language Arts

I received my Secondary English Education degree from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, MO in 2004.  I completed my Master of Arts in School Counseling at Missouri Baptist University in 2009.  I began teaching in 2004 at Warrenton High School and then spent my last four years teaching at Hazelwood East High School.  I never would have imagined I would be working in a small private Christian school, but God does work in mysterious ways.  After having resigned from my last teaching position, I found myself jobless.  God opened a door for me here at WRCA to use both of my degrees.  I am now completing my 6th year in education as a Middle/High school English teacher and as the Kind. – 10th grade School Counselor.

I am getting married this June to my best friend.  We don’t plan to have children right away, but have begun our family by adding a puppy to our lives.  He is already more trying than most children.

Mrs. Stephanie Lutostanski teaches Middle/High School Math

Upon graduating from Fort Zumwalt High school in 2005, I received the Missouri Bright Flight scholarship and attended Lindenwood University on a full-ride academic scholarship.  I received my Bachelor of Arts in 2009 double majoring in middle school math education and elementary education.  I hope to continue my education in the future by pursuing my Masters in Library Science.

In 2008 I married my husband Rob and we look forward to starting a family in the future.

I have enjoyed spending my first year teaching middle/high school science and library at WRCA and am so blessed that God has led me in this direction.  I have discovered a passion for Christian school education and look forward to years spent here.

Mr. David Griffith is our Middle/High school History teacher

After graduation from College of the Ozarks, I worked for K-Life youth ministries in Columbia, MO and Harrison, Arkansas until the Spring of 2007. I felt called to St. Louis and have been teaching at WRCA since fall of 2009.

Mrs. Jessica Chandler teaches Computer/Foreign Language

My name is Jessica Chandler and I am grateful to Father God for bringing me into the Willott Road Family. I am a graduate of Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri, where I earned a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Christian Ministry Studies. I was a captain on the Field Hockey team at Lindenwood this year, and I also currently coach a variety of sports, including soccer, field hockey, lacrosse and softball. The Lord has blessed me with many athletic talents and abilities, which I plan to use to expand His Kingdom! I completed my student teaching at Messiah Lutheran School in Weldon Spring, Missouri where I taught both third and fifth grades regularly, as well as fourth and fifth grade Spanish classes. Although I am saddened to leave Messiah, I truly am eager to take up my cross and follow Jesus as I begin my journey at WRCA.

I married my husband Drew on July 17, 2010. We will be moving into a new home within the St. Peters area before the start of the school year at Willott Road. Together we enjoy reading God's Word, spending time with our families, playing sports and watching the Cardinals games!

I am excited to be a part of the Willott Road Christian Academy family, and am eager to begin bringing a joy of learning the Spanish language to all of my students! I look forward to sharing the many blessings that God has in store for me this year! "As for me, to live is Christ and to die is gain." Philippians 1:21

Pastor Tony Latham is our P.E. teacher for all grade levels

In May of 1996, I received my Bachelors I Biblical Studies degree from East Coast Bible College in Charlotte, NC.  While in college there, my wife and I began working at the Church of God Children’s Home of NC.

My wife Shawna & I have been married for 17 years and have been blessed with 3 beautiful girls.  After years of youth ministry, in 2001, my wife and I planted the New Vision Church and Community Center in O’Fallon, MO.

We enrolled our girls in school here at WRCA when they were little and we do not believe we could have made a better choice.  From there, I began coaching the middle school girls basketball team in 2007 and then started filling in as a substitute teacher for many different classes.

Education, family development, and youth recreation are areas that we have always had a passion for and thank the Lord for the opportunities He has given us to influence the lives of young people and families. I am very excited to see God continue to grow the ministry here at WRCA.

Mrs. Emily Bundy is our Art teacher for all grade levels

I began my college education in 2000 at Lindenwood University where my interest was in teaching art. I then narrowed my field in 2002 when I transferred to Webster University where I received my degree in Photography.  God led me in 2008 to WRCA where I have a wonderful position teaching Art.  I am beginning my third year of teaching.

Ms. Charity Steevens teaches Music for all grade levels

Born into a family of 8, I was homeschooled and needed extra curricular activities.  I started taking piano lessons at the age of 9 and my piano lessons led me to my decision to become a music teacher.  I received my Bachelor of Music education from Missouri Baptist University in 2008. I graduated with a major in Piano and minors in Psychology and Church music.  I am beginning my third year of teaching and all have been at WRCA.  In the next year I plan on returning to school to work on my Master’s of Arts in Music History/Theory.
